Working towards first demo
I was having some issues with loading my project in Linux. Which meant a day of backing up data and messing around before I was finally able to load the project in Windows. So last few days were spent playing catch up to get back on schedule.
I'm getting close to finishing the proto demo for this game. The goal is to make it a vertical slice of the first level and most of the content players will routinely interact with.
Here are some short videos and screenshots showing what the assets and overall game look like so far.
Here is one of the resource stations that orbit each planet. They are the main way you gain resources with which to build your weapon platforms. They spawn cargo ships which then travel to the nearest resource station and drop off their cargo.
The enemies spawn through gates like this.
You can zoom onto and track any weapons platform like this one. It's the basic platform which sports two turrets with intermediate range.
This shows how you select weapon platform slots around planets and the selection screen as it exists now.
